We started our garden during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide fresh produce to our local food shelf and directly to community members who are food insecure. We give produce to our local schools and the Bethel Food Shelf; we allow community members to harvest as needed; and we give away surplus at free concerts and events in our town. We are also running programming centered on the garden and growing food.
The goals of our garden are: 1. to provide fresh produce to our local food shelf and to any members of the community who are food insecure, and 2. to educate our community on how to grow their own food and prepare it.
