Although in rural VT, our garden is in a urban like environment with limited space, near the center of town, right off a main rd & with a community walkway running right along side it. Another unique feature of our garden is that it has big rocks scattered throughout which we plant around. The majority of the students do not have gardens at home let alone families that prepare healthy food with fresh produce. The garden is very popular with GSS teachers (spanning grades K-6) who see how valuable hands on experiential learning in the garden is in reinforcing & enriching their classroom curriculum.
