The Stamford Vermont Seed Savers initiated the gardens in 2017 on a site behind the Stamford Elementary School. With the aid of local businesses and volunteers we have established 14 raised garden beds, blueberry bushes, and are working on a storage shed / outdoor classroom. We teach gardening to students at all grade levels during the school year and offer a summer camp. We also run a community seed sharing event and maintain a seed bank at the town offices.
