The Willowell Community Garden grows food for the Walden Project (a public outdoor high school program for grades 10-12), educates youth about gardening, donates produce to food shelves, and hosts students and community members during weekly Weed and Feed work days throughout the summer. During the school year, Walden students help harvest and plant crops. These students represent the entire socioeconomic spectrum of our region, and our garden is often where they first make the connection between farm and food.
