Other ways to engage with us and support our work

Join us and be part of something bigger than your own garden. VGN MEMBERS invest in better access to gardening for others and build deeper connections with gardeners throughout Vermont.

Make a long-term difference with a monthly gift.  Join our PERENNIAL CLUB and we’ll plant a berry bush at a school or housing site as your tangible tribute to sustainable food sources.

Help people learn to grow, use, preserve and share food with a contribution designated to the Frank Way Memorial Scholarship Fund, which supports students in our Community Teaching Garden.

THANK YOU!

Why I give:

“Community gardens address so many vital needs, from food security to community building to teaching and modeling practices of environmental stewardship. Vermont is a national leader in the food localization movement, and the visionary work of the Vermont Community Garden Network is a key element. I know my support makes a difference.”

From our garden partners & students:

“We look at the produce that we purchase and consume in a whole different way! We have our own garden now. It’s something we will do forever.”

As an educator and organizer in my community I find the work of VCGN to be a tremendous resource. It’s not just the information that these folks convey, it’s how they convey it. The peer-to-peer exchange and hands on engagement are key to my positive experience at their workshops. Not only do I glean valuable growing tips and organizational strategies, but I also walk away with stories to share and ideas that translate to other areas of my job (and life!) beyond the garden.”
~ Garden Coordinator, White River Junction

“Working with VGN provided the much needed support to build a solid foundation in our first year as a community garden.”
~ New Farms for New Americans

“The Grow It! workshop was like lighting the match and setting off the fireworks.”
~ Garden Leader Workshop Participant, Bennington

“Thanks to the CTG course, I’m ready to get dirty. I don’t feel afraid to get my hands (elbows, knees, face, pants, shirt, shoes and socks) dirty – because it is all about growth. I appreciated being in a shared space – laughing, weeding, learning, and listening with a group of people who were giving it their best shot. There is something about gardening that can bring people together across a lot of communities that is pure joy.”
