Growing Microgreens at Home

Date: Saturday, April 19
Time: 2:00 to 3:00pm

Location: Greenhouse at Landry Park, Winooski.
The greenhouse is located in the Landry Park Community Garden, behind Myer’s Memorial Pool. The entrance gate is on the right-hand side of the pool complex.

Workshop description: Microgreens are young seedlings harvested less than 21 days after germination. They are easy to grow at home near a sunny window and don’t require fancy materials or much maintenance. Microgreens come in a rainbow of colors, textures and flavors; they are very nutritious and delicious! During this workshop we will demonstrate the step-by-step process for growing microgreens and we will send you home with seeds to grow your own at home.

We have an abundance of microgreen seeds to share with attendees!  We received a generous donation of microgreen seed packets from 2024 (excellent quality, but they can no longer be sold in retail stores) and we are eager to share them with all of you.

This workshop is FREE and open to everyone. The content is geared towards an adult audience. Youth are welcome to attend if accompanied by an adult.

Your RSVP helps us prep materials in advance, thank you for confirming your attendance.
