Join us in the garden for a unique opportunity to witness a soil remediation project in action! This interactive workshop will dive into cover cropping, soil testing, and explore different bed prep techniques used to bring back some life into tired soils. Workshop is FREE for everyone thanks to the City of Burlington, Parks & Recreation Department and their Conservation Legacy Fund Grant.

  • A behind-the-scenes look at a soil remediation project in action

  • Real-time comparisons of different bed prep strategies – sheet mulching, deep tilling, broadforking- and the effects of each method on plant growth.

  • Tips on applying cover crops throughout the growing season

  • Hands-on demo: Try out a broadfork and practice broadcasting cover crop seeds
